Story in brief:
Castleford Tigers wish club stalwart John Sheridan a speedy return to health.
A Tigers Hall of Fame inductee, John played in over 300 games for the club between 1955 and 1966. He was also the club's head coach in 1972 and 1973.
Chief executive Steve Ferres said:
"I understand John was taken into Pinderfields Hospital yesterday having suffered a stroke. He is a great stalwart of this club over many years who still comes to games regularly. On behalf of the entire club we wish John well with his recovery."
