Speaking on the announcement of his testimonial match, Craig Huby said: "I'm pleased that my testimonial match has been now been arranged and against good quality opposition in Halifax.
"It should be an excellent game with plenty of new faces on show for both sides in what will be our first pre-season match ahead of an important year.
"I'd love it if all Cas fans could come and show their support."
Castleford Tigers' Chief Executive Steve Gill said: "We've been working hard to arrange warm-up matches that meet the requirements of Daryl Powell and I'm pleased that we've managed to do that.
"The Halifax game on Boxing Day brings back the traditional match that all fans really enjoy, while it also allows everyone to recognise the service that Craig has given us since 2003.
"The Featherstone match is one which was agreed last year and we expect a good following for what will be a really important clash for people in the area.
"We finish with Bradford Bulls who should provide us with a difficult challenge right before the start of the season.
"We are also in the process of arranging another friendly with York City Knights, however that is yet to be confirmed."
