New Stadium News......

Story in brief:

The committee date has finally been confirmed and will take place on Thursday 19 February

The planning committee date has finally been confirmed for the Five Towns Park Development, including our new community stadium.

The committee meeting will take place on Thursday 19th February at 11.00am in the Council Chamber, County Hall, Wakefield. The planning committee is open to the public so please join us, come along if you can and show your support for Five Towns Park!

In the meeting the £135m Five Towns Park outline application by Lateral Property Group will be discussed. The application includes a new 10,000 capacity seater stadium, a supermarket, petrol station, shops and a country park on land just off the M62 at junction 32 at Glasshoughton.

Steve Gill is delighted the date has now been set: "The new stadium is essential to the success of our club in the long term, I can't stress enough just how much we need this. To have £135m worth of investment into the Five Towns area is just something we as an area cannot afford to turn down."

Vist the Five Towns Park website here and if you've not already done so, show your support today.

Cas fans make yourself head loud and proud and come along and show your support. We'll be meeting outside County Hall at 10.30am.
