Story in brief:
'Embed The Pathway' is regarded as the start of the England Talent Pathway.
This programme aims to increase the quality of 12-14 year old Rugby League players through coach and support in their club environment, leading to motivated players who continue to participate and have more chance of progressing up the England Talent Pathway, maximising connectivity between professional and community clubs, and schools.
The RFL welcomes all parents of players in the U12-U14 age groups to the parents workshop taking place on Wednesday 4th March 6 - 8pm at Castleford Academy.
The aim of the sessions is to provide help and guidance on how coaches, parents and players can support each other to develop excellence, elite performance and a lasting affinity to the game, while focusing in particular on the role of the 'Performance Parent'.
Attendees will receive information on best practice in developing elite athletes and negotiate the roles and responsibilities each will take in their player's journey.
It also marks the launch of the new RFL Parent's Handbook.
