Tigers Hall of Fame

Read about Cas' legendary players in the Tigers Hall of Fame.

Les Adams Arthur Atkinson Bob Beardmore
Les "Juicy" Adams - International Scrum half of the 1930's. A Wembley winner with Cas in 1935. International centre-threequarter of 20's and 30's. Arthur, or "Bruss", was captain of 1935 Wembley team. Bob was a Wembley 86 Lance Todd Trophy winner at Scrum Half . A talented player, unlucky not to play for Great Britain.

Kevin Beardmore Bill Bryant Brad Davis
Kevin was an International Hooker and prolific Try scorer who made 2 Lions tours. A great servant throughout the 1980's. International Second row forward of the 1960's. A robust strong running player who's later career was blighted with injury. A favourite with the fans. Brad established himself as one of the most popular Tigers of his time from joining the club, and helping to stave off the threat of relegation, in 1997 until (with a break at local rivals Wakefield) he left the club in 2006. Ironically having played a big part in our 1997 fight, he had a bigger part to play in our return to the top-flight after we failed to beat relegation in 2004. The clear MOM in the 2005 National League play off final, Brad took 'his' club back where he felt it belonged. Brad was a very creative scrum half with a tremendous kicking game.

St John Ellis Mike Ford Harold Haley
The untimely death of St John Ellis in 2006 was a real loss to the game and his many friends. A huge fans favourite, a real character and a record try scorer for the Tigers. International Scrum Half of the 80's and 90's a product of the prestigious Oldham St Anne's club. In two spells with the club Mike was at the heart of everything, a gifted and creative player. A Wembley winner in 1935, Harold also figured in the 1939 Championship final during his sixteen years with the club.

Wembley Captain in 1969 and 70, Alan provided the flair that complimented his half back partner Keith Hepworth so well. International Front Row Forward joined Cas in 1966. A fearsome forward, Dennis played 268 times for Cas before joining the coaching staff. A truly loyal servant of the club. International Scrum Half of the 1960's. Keith was a dynamic non-stop all action player who always gave his all and combined with Alan Hardisty to form one of the most feared half-back combinations in World Rugby League. Wembley winner in 69 & 70.

John Joyner Bill Kirkbride Brian Lockwood
International Centre with  600 plus games for Cas and 16 Great Britain caps merely confirm John's status as a Cas great. Whether at Centre, Stand-off or Loose Forward, John's skill won many games and many accolades in the Game. 86 Wembley Captain. Cumbrian second row forward who had a two year spell with the club.   Tawera Nikau Mal Reilly Dean Sampson
New Zealand International Loose forward. Joined Cas in 91, played 165 games including the Wembley defeat of 92 an the classic 94 Regal Trophy Final Rout of Wigan. A legendary figure in both hemispheres, both playing in and coaching winning Challenge cup and Grand Final sides, Malcolm represented Great Britain as both player and coach. He was awarded the OBE for his services to Rugby League. International front row forward, a firm favourite with the Cas faithful. His strong robust style was made him one of the most feared forwards in Super League. Dean  played in Castleford colours over 350 times.
