The Community Team now run a number of Rugby Camps throughout the
year during school holidays. Originally starting out with a summer
camp programme in 2006 the Tigers saw over 150 children attend 3
weeks of rugby training. The programme was so popular, the club
decided to bring the programme back earlier then intended and held
a Winter Camp during February Half Term 2007 with Easter and
Summer Camps to follow.
The
camps are amongt the very best rugby skill camps
available today.
The action-packed Camps offer boys and girls from ages 6 - 13
the chance to develop their game under the instruction of The
Tigers fully qualified, CRB checked community coaches.
The camps consist of a number of technical work programmes
designed to help develop rugby skills. They are designed to help
push the experienced player and also accommodate those who are
beginners.
Each day will include drills to help develop:
- Kicking
- Tackling
- Handling and Running
- Decision Making Skills
- Rugby Tactics and Psychology
Plus appearances from First Team Players who will pass on their
expert tips and advice, sign autographs and answer questions.
