Castleford Tigers was formed in 1926 and has always played home games at the current stadium on Wheldon Road which is called the Wish Communications Stadium.
The Tigers are a British rugby league club who take part in Super League (the elite European club competition) as well as the famous Challenge Cup tournament (longest running knock-out rugby tournament in the world).
The team traditionally play in the famous black and amber colours.
As well as a successful team on the field, the off-field operation boasts a pro-active and forward thinking set up. This includes the Tigers Trust, the community arm of the club which has charitable status.
