Biography

Kirk Dixon is a former rugby union player with Hull Ionians and switched codes in 2003 to join Hull FC.

Kirk briefly returned to union in 2006 with a loan spell at Northampton Saints, but when he became available from Hull, the Tigers moved to add his Super League experience to their re-built 2007 NL1 squad.

Kirk was the Tigers leading tryscorer in their successful 2007 NL campaign, crossing for 23 tries. He is also an accomplished goal kicker.

Back in Super League with the Tigers for 2008, Kirk alternated between centre and the wing again, contributing over 100 points despite not being the front line kicker for much of the term.

In 2009, Kirk was once again the Tigers leading point scorer with 208, and the clubs joint leading try scorer.

The 2010 season saw Kirk pass the 500 points mark for the Tigers, making his 100th appearance for the club on the last day of the season. He then added another 25 appearances for the club throughout 2011. In the end of season award ceremony, Kirk won 'Best Back of the Year 2011.'

2012 was a frustrating year for Kirk with a back injury leading to him miss the last few months of the campaign.

Kirk scored 11 tries in 21 Super League appearance during the 2013 campaign, including four in a memorable 49-24 win over Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at the Magic Weekend match at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium. In doing so, he equalled the club's ‘Most Tries in a Super League match' record, shared by Waine Pryce and Rangi Chase. James Clare later scored four tries in the final match of the season also versus Wakefield.

Kirk will wear the number 2 shirt in 2014 and is sponsored by Arriva Yorkshire.
