Ryan was one of the club's most consistent performers in his time at the Jungle.
Only a one-game suspension prevented Ryan from being an ever present in the 2010 campaign.
Ryan spent six and a half seasons with the Tigers, scooping the player of the year award on a number of occasions.
To first bring him to the club, the Tigers had to win a battle with then NRL champs West Tigers on the very eve of the 2006 SL season and his subsequent form has fully justified the chase.
He has the ability to fill most positions in the backline, with his best forming much debate amongst fans, and some feel loose forward is another option. His retention for 2007 was key, and despite offers from various Super League and NRL sides; he opted to stick with the Tigers for the NL1 season.
A strong runner with a good kicking game, Ryan started his professional career with the Cronulla Sharks before breaking from rugby league with a season in the Super-12 rugby union competition at the New South Wales Waratahs, when he also represented the Wallabies in the World 7's.
He then returned to league and rejoined the Sharks in 2004.
In 2007 Ryan won an international call in league with a try-scoring debut for the USA against Samoa.
